Instructions

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix well until the batter is smooth and well combined.
  4. Gradually add the boiling water to the batter, mixing continuously. The batter will be thin, but that's okay.
  5. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.

  7. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for about 10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Once the cakes are completely cooled, spread the gluten-free chocolate frosting evenly over one of the cakes. Place the second cake on top and spread frosting on top and around the sides of the cake.
